Jennifer’s Experience and Background
Like many Calgarians, Jennifer and her husband moved to Calgary in search of opportunity and a better life–but it was the neighbours and friends they met along the way that makes them honoured to call Calgary home.
With a broad range of experience spanning both the non-profit and public sectors, Jennifer understands the deep impact of strong city services on Calgarians’ quality of life. Through her previous work experience, Jennifer learned that for a city to have a resilient economy, it needs quality city services, responsible investments, and strong neighbourhoods.
On top of that, Jennifer’s past work has given her instincts for conflict resolution and mediation–a skillset she aims to use at City Hall to cut through partisan politics and work collaboratively to make lives better for all Calgarians.

Why We Endorse Jennifer
Unlike some of our city’s current councillors, Jennifer believes that having cost effective public services doesn’t mean putting even more Calgarians out of work; arguing that we need to look beyond short term cuts and hiring freezes which result in burnout, lower productivity, and ultimately poorer services for residents.
Jennifer knows that Ward 2 residents deserve a councillor who communicates clearly and in a way that holds Council accountable. Taking a transparency-focused approach, Jennifer pledges to publicly publish a letter explaining her votes and the rationale behind the decision.
Jennifer believes wholeheartedly that Calgary is a place to grow roots but that currently, we’re not doing a good enough job presenting the value that our city offers–and she wants to change that. Jennifer wants to not only attract new residents to our city with the skills and attitude we need to help Calgary thrive, but also invest in Calgary’s current residents so that they can gain new experiences, develop, and grow.
